Bio
I am a counsellor, yoga teacher, organic grower, and a writer. I have a BScH in physics from Queen's University, a MSc. in holistic science from Schumacher College and an MEd. counselling degree from Acadia University. I live on our farm, Rerooted, just outside of Wolfville, NS, where the Gaspereau River enters the Bay of Fundy, with my partner Joey and our two spunky kids.
I believe we need a variety of tools and practices to connect more deeply.
My best ideas arrive while I'm weeding in the garden; my best mindfulness practice is in the kitchen. Yoga and meditation practice have deepened my capacity for attentiveness and connection. Writing and counselling are the ways that I engage with curiosity, creativity, and compassion— alone and with others—and where I explore how learning and insight come from self-expression. And there's no greater training in emotional regulation and humility than caring for our kids.
